2 Annette Lemieux interviews by Francine Koslow Miller

AICA-USA member Francine Koslow Miller has published two feature articles based on wide ranging interviews with Boston-based conceptual artist Annette Lemieux.  The most recent, appearing in the January / February 2014 issue of Sculpture Magazine focuses on the artist's progression from abstract paintings to idea-based sculpture, and how a sense of humor informs and shapes the social and political themes of many of her sculptures and installations.

For the interview published in the May / June 2013 issue of Art New England (available online here) Miler depicts Lemieux in the studio preparing an exhibition of works that homage her artistic heroes--artists who share an approach that Lemieux describes as "the conceptual, the playful, the 'why not'?"

Headquartered in New York, AICA-USA's membership comprises over 400 critics, curators, scholars, and art historians working throughout the United States.
